MVEye Sinan Kurtaran Interview Transcript
We were re selling 3D printers for the jewelry industry and then we decided to get in the jewelry industry because we have years of experience in this area and we wanted to create something unique and I’m talking about bracelets which contains a lot of diamonds and while we were working on this we decided to go with lab grown diamonds and the reason is affordability for one and also the quality is very good.
This is not very easy to make. It needs engineering. It needs design skills. So, it’s not very easy to create something like this which is I think very interesting for the consumers.
We manufacture these bracelets as one piece. That’s the key and that enables us to use different stones, difference types of stones. 8 carats to 50 carats. More than 300 stones. Mostly gold and we are going to look into platinum.
We were selling the mountings before and now we’ve decided to set the diamonds ourselves and create a brand and sell directly to retailers.
The retailers are selling pretty good. We had two Princess cut bracelets first day in the store they both got sold.
We’re trying to get our designs perfect; we don’t want to start with any mistakes. We want to keep our style the same style but also, we want to produce rings in the future.
In lab grown we don’t have a supply issue. Because this kind of bracelets we saw that we can sell it with natural diamonds as well but the more than affordability I think our issue is the supply.
You can have hundreds of rings and hundreds of tennis bracelets that customers can pick, but this bracelet will definitely shine among them. It’s one-of-a-kind and if they’re not their getting the supply of these bracelets from us, they can’t get it from anywhere else. And with these bracelets if a consumer is willing to buy something special, something unique, then this is the thing to sell.
