Bose created a one-of-a-kind pair of diamond-encrusted Ultra Open Earbuds to celebrate their 60th anniversary:
- Features: The earbuds are made with 1.77 carats of lab-grown diamonds and 3 grams of 14-karat gold. The charging case contains 93 grams of 14-karat gold and the same lab-grown diamonds as the earbuds.
- Giveaway: Customers who purchased Bose limited-edition headphones between August 26 and September 16, 2024 were automatically entered into a draw to win the earbuds. Each purchase was equivalent to one entry, with a limit of three entries per person.
- Collaboration: Bose worked with an external jewelry designer to create the earbuds.
- Value: The earbuds and charging case are said to be worth around $9,000.
- Open design: The open design of the earbuds allows users to have conversations without removing them.
- Previous giveaways: Bose also gave away gold plated, diamond encrusted earbuds to Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton at All-Star Weekend.
